Often we are asked “How can I help?” or “Whens the next cleanup?” Well, here are some answers and ways you can help with our organized cleanups, as well as other ideas and tips on how you can help on your own.
- Always bring some way of packing out, not only what you packed in, but what you can also pack out on top of your own. Every little bit helps, it can be as simple as rolling a tire back down the trail.
- Don’t wait! You don’t have to go to an organized cleanup, or event. Simply grab a bag or tote, head to the park, beach or any local trail and pick up some debris and recycling!
- Report to us! If you come across a hot spot that you are unable to reach, or clean at that time, please contact us. We can’t clean it if we don know about it. We understand that gut wrenching feeling you get when you’re out adventuring, or working and just simply can’t pack out all the debris that you’ve spotted along the way, trust us we have been there with you. So, tell us about the area, we will gladly do our best to organize a cleanup in that area.
- Put what debris you find up above the high-tidelines if you can, make a cache and let us know where. This way when you or someone like ourselves are able to come pick it up it will be safe from the tides and weather.
- Follow our websites and social media accounts for events, information, blogs, fundraising and more. We try to post as much information as possible for our public cleanups, sorting days, as well as our smaller group -yet larger scale- clean-ups that take an insane amount of support financially and physically.
- Support can currently be given in a few ways, cash donations can be made to Epic Exeo, supplies such as “Super Sacks”, reusable carrying bags, fuel, helicopter support, truck transportation for full bags, recycling fee’s, and even first aid supplies are all very useful to us.
